Michele Holding is a registered clinical counsellor supporting individuals, couples, and families find healing opportunities to transform their lives. Working from an attachment and family systems approach, she collaborates with clients to end the unhealthy relational and emotional patterns in their lives. Michele is also able to incorporate a framework of Christian faith and theology into the counselling process with the aim of more holistic healing.



Specialization and Issues Treated



At this incredible stage of growth and change, sometimes youth and their families can struggle with adjusting. Whether this presents itself as anxiety, depression, self harm, substance use issues, or family conflict, Michele is excited to work with youth to develop a stronger foundation of emotional and relational capacity for the rest of their lives.



Over the past 10 years Michele has had the privilege to work with several families who experienced the transformative power of pursuing healing together. Using a number of family systems theories and emotion focused therapy, Michele is able to offer counselling to couples, parents, and families of all constellations to reach the goal of ending unhealthy relational patterns.



With anxiety being part of the Michele’s journey towards healing, she has developed a passion for working with individuals who struggle with anxiety and/or depression. Incorporating a combination of assessment tools, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, internal family systems model, and somatic therapies, she is can help individuals experience success towards their goals.

Michele received a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. She then received a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counselling from Troy University in Orlando, Florida. Michele has since pursued and continues to pursue trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma informed therapies, Sensorimotor Processing, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Clinical Supervision.
